Unfortunately, I did not know who he was as a player. It was only after his passing that I discovered who he was.

But any time a young kid is killed by a drunk driver, especially a kid with as big upside as Adenhart had, it’s tough.

He was 1-0 in his Major League career. Never beaten. While he didn’t really get his time in the Bigs, he got to taste a win, and not the bitterness of a loss.

So today, remember Nick Adenhart. A brilliant prospect in the Angels organization, who had his life shortened by the hands of a driver who was impaired. Remember Nick Adenhart.
